VITAMIN B6 INJECTION
It is a sterile solution of pyridoxine hydrochloride(VB6) in water for injection. Each ampoule contains VB6
100MG.
INDICATION
Pyridoxine is used in the treatment and prevention of pyridoxine deficiency stated. Pyridoxine has been
used in the treatment of sideroblastic anaemias and certain metabolic disorders, also been used to treat
seizures due to hereditary syndromes of pyridoxine deficiency or dependency in infants. Pyridoxine has
also been tried in a wide variety of other disorders, including the treatment of depression and other symptoms
associated with the premenstrual syndrome.
ADVERSE EFFECTS AND PRECATIONS
Long- term administration of doses of pyridoxine is associated with the development of severe peripheral
neuropathies. Pyridoxine reduces the effects of levodopa, but this does not occur if a dopa decarboxylase
inhibitor is also given.
ADMINISTRATOR
Pyridoxine may be administrated by the intramuscular route, and also by intravenous or subcutaneous routes.
Doses of 50-100mg daily in divided doses have been recommended.

Ampoule of 2ml boxes of 10 ampoules.

Store in a dark place with well-closed containers.
